Defender Halid Lwaliwa netted the lone goal of the game to help Vipers SC overcome Onduparaka FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Lwaliwa rose high to head in a Bright Anukani’s freekick just before the break.

Vipers SC was the better side throughout the game but struggled to find the target on numerous occasions.

Cesar Manzoki, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Paul Muccurezi and Yunus Sentamu failed to get past Michael Kagiri in between Onduparaka’s sticks.

With the narrow win, Vipers move to 10 points garnered in 4 games and now move within three points behind KCCA FC who drew 1-all with Bright Stars at Kavumba.

Vipers SC who are still unbeaten face Mbarara City next after the international break while Onduparaka will host Police FC in Arua.
