StarTimes UPL: Date, Venue for Ondu-KCCA replay revealed

The Touchline Sports - StarTimes UPL: KCCA and Onduparaka game abandoned after fans invade pitch to protest penalty


The Uganda Premier League Secretariat has confirmed the date and venue of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League replay between Onduparaka FC and KCCA FC.

The game will played at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground on February 4th, 2022.

This was confirmed on Wednesday in a document released by the Secretariat about fixture adjustments.

The pre-mentioned game was prematurely ended in added time after Onduparaka fans invaded the pitch to protest Referee Ronald Madanda’s decision to award KCCA FC a late penalty with score tied at 2-all.

This prompted the FUFA Competition Disciplinary Panel to order for the game to be replayed at a neutral venue to enable the results of the match to be determined sportingly sportingly.

Furthermore, Onduparaka was deducted two points and two goals from their already collected points for their actions in that said match.

The Secretariat has also confirmed that Vipers SC game with SC Villa will played on 2nd February at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende while Soltilo Bright Stars will host URA FC on 1st February at Kavumba.
