Striker Cromwell Rwothomio finally got his first goal for Vipers SC as they rallied from a goal down to BUL FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Saturday afternoon at Kitende.
The forward scored the winner for the Venoms after Milton Karisa had earlier cancelled out Karim Ndugwa’s opener for BUL.
Ndugwa’s strike was stunning as he saw Fabian Mutombora off the line to loop him from outside the box.
But this lead was short-lived as Karisa pounced in from close range after Bright Anukani’s long range effort was punched back into play by Said Keni.
And before the break, Rwothomio completed Vipers’ comeback when he slotted home from close range after being set-up by Bright Anukani.
In the second half, the Venoms had a couple of chance to extend on their advantage but Karisa, Rwothomio missed a couple of real chances
With this victory, Vipers return to winning ways and move back to within two points below leaders KCCA.
BUL, meanwhile stay third on 24 points with 14 games played.
Vipers will play Busoga United next while BUL will battle Maroons FC.
