StarTimes UPL: BUL return to winning ways

BUL FC came from a goal down to edge Kavumba side Bright Stars at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru on Wednesday evening.

Bright Stars went ahead two minutes to close the opening half through a Shafik Kakande strike thanks to a great ball from Isa Bugembe.

Therefore first half came to a close after with a 1-0 scoreline, the Visitors holding up their lead.

In the second half, BUL returned with a high tempo, Walter Ochola headed in Jerome Kirya free kick to level matters after nine minutes.

Nine minutes past the hour mark, Jerome Kirya got the winner for BUL after he shot a ball outside the box only for Bright Stars goalkeeper to mishandle it.

This is BUL‘s first win in the last three league games and helps takes them five points clear of second placed side Kitara and seven more Vipers SC who are on 30.

In their next fixtures, BUL will face Maroons in  Luzira on 23rd February whereas Bright stars host the Red Eagles of Express FC a day before.
