Bushenyi Veterans and Blacks Power joined  Lugazi, Wakiso Giants, Vipers SC, NEC FC, Bright Stars, URA FC, Pakwach Young Stars and holders Kitara FC at the Uganda Cup Round of 32 stage.

This happened after both sides didn’t kick a ball at the 51st Edition on Thursday, a day which saw two events unfold .

For Bushenyi Veterans their opponents Onduparaka FC didn’t show up to Bushenyi Main Ground having requested FUFA for a postponement of their game in-order to prepare for the memorial service and game of their former player Rashid Agau slated for Saturday.

However FUFA denied the Big League side’s request pushing Bushenyi to the next Round. But with extreme concern this is the second consecutive time, The Caterpillars fail to honor their Round of 64 tie, first being against Kyambura Rasters FC due to transport issues last season .

Blacks Power too walked away after grabbing a spot in the next Round having seen Hosts Soroti Thunders go to the wrong venue for their game against Blacks Power despite FUFA announcing another.

Thunders travelled to Kidetok Primary School playground in Serere to play their game there but both Blacks Power and match officials had reached to Soroti Stadium, the venue which was communicated by FUFA.

The competition will resume on Friday January 7 when New Life Katereke FC host UPDF at Nakivubo Blue Primary School as Maroons pay courtesy visit to Water FC in Nakawa UICT Ground .
