Ronald Ssekiganda: Airtel Masaza MVP joins SC Villa

The 2019 Masaza Cup tournament MVP Ronald Ssekiganda has completed his dream move to the record UPL Champions Sports Club Villa, The Touchline Sports has learned.

The defensive midfielder joins Villa from Kampala Regional side Catda FC and puts pen to paper on a two-year contract.

 Ssekiganda becomes the club’s fifth signing after Meddy Kibirige, Martin Ssenkooto, Andrew Kiwanuka and Geoffrey Goffin Oyirwoth joined the club in the recent weeks.

Ronald Ssekiganda was a key figure in the Bulemeezi Ssaza’s team which lifted the 2019 Masaza Cup, where he was also named the Most Valuable Player.

He also featured in the FUFA Drum for Buganda province in the same year and put up decent displays, most notably against Tooro Province in the last eight at the Akii Bua stadium in Lira that saw him take the man of the match accolade.

At SC Villa, he is expected to fit in for wantaway midfielder David Owori. Else, he will have to fight for a starting spot in central midfield with Amir Kakomo .
