Road to BAL Elite 16: Parrish, Jones, Otobo power City Oilers to second group win

City oilers have won their second consecutive game at the ongoing Road to BAL Elite 16 in Nairobi, Kenya on Friday with a 93-73 victory over Zambia’s Matero Magic.

The highlight of this game was U18 youngster Waleed Ali Omar slicing through the Matero defense and beat the buzzer to bag his two points, resulting into wild cerebrations from his teammates.

Top of the scoring chats for oilers on the day was Petty Parrish on 20 points, Falando Jones with 16 and Nigerian Israel Otobo’s double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Oilers now lead group B and will head into Sunday’s last group game against Burundi’s Urunani with a confirmed spot in the semi finals.
