After naming the team, Head coach Lawrence Mahatlane said his side’s focus is on helping the team gain a better ODI ranking in Qatar;

“We are ready because we have been training for the past three months but Qatar is ranked ahead of us in the ODI rankings and this will help us improve with the fact that Cricket is taking a different direction and we know that we are also going to try and become relevant in the code of the game.” Mahatlane said

“We welcome back Riazat Ali, Alepsh Ramjan and Ronald Patel to the squad after missing out on the Tri nation series in Rwanda, we have a strong squad that will come out victorious in Qatar.” he added and concluded
