Review: Lango makes last four


Goals from Emmanuel Obua and Moses Aliro ensured that Lango qualify to the semi finals of the FUFA drum after beating Busoga province 2-0 in their 2nd match to collect maximum points in the two games played in group B.

Emmanuel Obua opened tge scoring for Lango in the 2nd minute of the game while Moses Aliro added the second in the 26th minute of the second half to seal a second win for Lango at the John Akii-bua memorial stadium in Lira.

Lango’s Bronson Nsubuga was awarded the man of the match for the second time in two games he has played.

The other game in group B was played at 2:00pm as Bugisu province saw off West Nile in a 1-0 win courtesy of a Saul Bukoma goal in the 72nd minute of the game.

Group A games will see Buganda province take on Bukedi today at 2:00pm in their second game as the Baganda will be vying for a come back after loosing their first game. Bukedi will be yearning to maintain their winning run after picking a win against Tooro in the first game.

The other game will see Tooro province taking on Acholi province who with the support of their fans will be aiming for a win to secure a semi final slot in group A. The game between Tooro province vs Acholi will take place at 4:00 pm in Pece Stadium – Gulu.
