Review: KCCA settles for a point at home against URA FC

Wonderkid Allan Okello scored in second half on Wednesday evening as KCCA FC and URA FC shared spoils at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Earlier in the game, Joachim Ojeraq shot was brilliantly saved by KCCA goalie Lukwago Charles to deny the visitors an early lead.

In the 9th minute, the first half deadlock was broken by defender Ashraf Mandela who directed a shot that got deflected into the net to give the tax collectors a deserved lead.

On the 21 minutes, Muzamir Mutyaba had a chance to level matters for the Kasasiro side as his shot rattled the right post which left the talisman deeply shocked.

Few minutes later, Allan Okello beautifully found Mike Mutyaba in the box who hoped to find the back of the net but URA shotstopper James Alitho made an incredible save to deny KCCA FC an equalizer.

Saidi Kyeyune had a chance of doubling the lead for URA FC in the 41st minute but Charles Lukwago was on Saving alert to Keep his side in the game.

In the second half, KCCA FC finally neutralised URA’s first goal through a well worked goal by Wonderkid Allan Okello off a Steven Sserwadda assist.

History was made in the 71st minutes when Center Referee Alex Muhabi got off (injured) for John Bosco Kalibala to take charge of the game for the remaining 19 minutes.

On the 75th minute mark, KCCA’s Left back Mustafa Kizza was denied by the upright from a beautifully taken free kick.

The Tax collectors were disciplined in the defense in the last 15 minutes to deny any KCCA upset.

KCCA FC now sit 4th on the Startimes Uganda Premier League Table having collected 23 points in 11 games while URA FC are now 11th on 16 points picked in 13 games
