Synergy FC had a frustrating evening at Buwambo Grounds in a 1-0 loss to Buwambo United FC to mark their first loss of the season on Match Day 6 of the Buganda Regional League.

The visitors were forced to use 11 players for the match following license issues with their players.

Buwambo got into an early lead in the 5th minute from a penalty spot after a handball by defender Matovu Shafic in a forbidden area and the referee did nothing else but to point at the penalty spot which skipper Walugembe Raymond converted beautifully to give his side the lead.

The hosts were hungry for more as they continued to charge at Synergy’s defense the whole evening but the visitors were determined to concede less.

Nakibinge Ben John was forced to play 90 minutes after twisting his healing right knee again in the 30th minute of the first half and he was seen in deep pain but he could not be substituted because the team had only elven players.

In Buikwe, Busuula SC rally from a goal down to win 2-1 against the hosts Buikwe Red Stars FC. It was all square at the break before the hosts found the back of the net in the 55th minute from Kabogoza Mahad converted the penalty. The visitors answered with the equalizer ten minutes later before they scored the winner in the dying minutes to take home three points.

At Misindye playground, Alex Kisejja’s brace was enough to earn Seeta United their first win of the season in a 2-1 win over Over Butema Soccer Masters. Kisejja slotted home in the 8th minute before he completed his brace thirteen minutes later. The visitors found a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the game but it wasn’t enough to save them from suffering their second defeat of the season from five games.

The League will resume on Wednesday 27th with two rescheduled fixtures, Kampala University Masaka FC will host Synergy FC at Masaka Recreation Grounds while Simba FC will visit Buikwe Red Stars at Buikwe.
