The Finance Trust Bank Women Super League (FWSL) Awards for December saw a fresh wave of talent being recognized, with Resty Kobusobozi standing out as the Player of the Month.
Her stellar performances throughout December earned her the accolade, following an impressive run where she scored seven goals and helped her team, Lady Doves, secure crucial nine points in December.

Kobusobozi’s efforts played a pivotal role in Lady Doves’ climb to the top of the league standings, having won three out of four matches, with one draw.
Her remarkable goal-scoring form not only demonstrated her individual talent but also underlined the strong offensive strategy the Doves employed throughout the month.
In a statement after receiving her award, Kobusobozi expressed her gratitude and determination to continue improving.
“This award motivates me to work even harder and help my team finish in a better position,” she said.
“I believe in myself, the team, and the technical staff, and since it’s my first time receiving such an award, my confidence has got better – trust me,” the forward remarked, exuding optimism for the remainder of the season.
Kobusobozi’s recognition at the December FWSL Awards follows a season of stellar performances, making her one of the league’s standout players.
Each monthly award recipient is presented with UGX 500,000 and a plaque, courtesy of Finance Trust Bank, which further adds to the significance of her achievement.
Additionally, Asefa Hailegabreal Firew, the newly appointed head coach of Kampala Queens, was named Coach of the Month for December.

Under Hailegabreal’s leadership, the Queens surged to the league summit with an impressive run.
The award marked a significant milestone for Hailegabreal, who dedicated his win to the entire Kampala Queens team, stating, “I’m thankful for this award.
The players, technical staff—this is for them as they have done an incredible job.”
Both Kobusobozi and Hailegabreal’s recognitions underscore the dynamic performances of Kampala Queens during December, setting a high bar for the rest of the competition in the FWSL.
