Reigning Africa Ludo Champions, Uganda Doves travel to defend crown


The Uganda National Ludo team, Uganda Doves through Entebbe International Airport has departed for the 2023 Africa Ludo Cup of Nations set be played in Pretoria, South Africa on Tuesday.

Uganda are the defending Champions of this tournament that is slated to start on Wednesday 27th September and climax on 30th September 2023. 

The team that left for South Africa is going to be led by Uganda Ludo Federation President Hussein and Captain Matovu Huzaifah who defeated South Africa’s Thabong Mokalapa in the South African two dice version to bring home an ALCON trophy and MVP accolade .

Let’s note the Ladies Ludo National team, She Doves wasn’t able to travel due to lack of enough funds since the government through National Council Sports didn’t not support the team financially.

However the team, has included two ladies, Assistant Captain Nagadya Beth and Nakabuye Rose on the traveling squad so that they can go compete with men, an action that is allowed by the World Ludo Federation despite men not allowed to compete in the women Category.
