The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup semi-final lineup is set after a thrilling weekend of second-leg quarter-final action that delivered pure passion and drama. Kyaggwe, Ssingo, Buweekula, and Bugerere have all booked their places in the last four, showcasing the fierce competitive spirit that defines this prestigious tournament.
The weekend’s headline clash saw Ssingo edge out Mawokota in a tense battle at the Mityana Ssaza Ground. After a goalless first leg, the tie was decided by an unfortunate own goal—forced by relentless pressure from Ssingo’s Mike Kasule—sending the two-time champions through with a narrow 1-0 aggregate win and knocking out the three-time champions Mawokota.
Last year’s runners-up, Kyaggwe, continued their impressive form with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Ssese, following a 1-1 draw in the second leg. Bugerere also held their nerve, drawing 1-1 away to Buluuli to progress 3-2 on aggregate, while Buweekula battled past Busujju 2-1 on aggregate after their second leg also ended 1-1.

Reflecting on the weekend’s action in Mityana, Herbert Ndugga, Pilsner King Representative, praised both the players and fans for their passion and energy:
The passion on display—not only here today but throughout the entire tournament—has been truly magnificent. As Pilsner King, we’re proud to celebrate this journey with such incredible players and fans, all the way to the final.
