On Saturday February 8, National Council of Sports, represented by Ag. Assistant General Secretary Sarah Chelangat flagged off the Uganda Badminton team to Douala, Cameroon for the 2025 All-Africa Senior Championships at National Council of Sports offices in Lugogo.
All countries set to participate in the tournament.
The team comprised of eight players, four women and four men with Head Coach Ivan Karimunda is set to leaves in the wee- hours of Sunday morning for tournament that will run from February 10-16, 2025.
Players on the team include;
Women – Shamika Fadilah Mohammed Rafi, Husina Kobugabe, Gladys Mbabazi and Tracy Naluwooza
Men – Augustus Owiny, Lubega Muzafaru, Amos Muyanja and Kenneth Mwambu.
