Two-time Pepsi University Football League (UFL) champions Kampala University (KU) have registered a slim 1-0 win over Kampala International University (KIU) for a perfect start to the 2024/25 season.
Wanuume Gilbert netted the only goal of the game as early as the 11th minute assisted by Ssembatya Sharrif.
The narrow victory took KU level on three points with Gulu University at the top of Group D. Gulu defeated Bugema University by the same scoreline last week.
Saturday will entertain the International University of East Africa (IUEA) and the University of Kisubi (UNIK) in Group E in Kansanga at 3pm.
