Ebasu Clement secured maximum points for Ndejje University after converting from the spot to earn the home side a hard fought win over ten man Victoria University

Victoria Goal keeper Yusuf Nfumu was the busiest in the game with a couple of saves most especially in the first 45 minutes.

Starting straight ten (10) minutes into the game after Khoak Kitor Ayup’s thunderous shot which he punches away for a corner kick.

Nine minutes later, The home side’s pressure continued Ayup firing from outside the box but John Micheal Akulepi managed to block the ball before Marvin Mukidi floated a delightful pass to Davis Musinguzi who took it first time only for the ball not to connect fully.

However Akulepi John Michael found himself in  a shooting position at the 25th minute mark but dragged his powerful shot towards the goal, an action which forced Ndejje’s Fred Ochen pull off great save for Victoria University corner.

At the stroke of halftime, Nfumu again denied Ayup again from close range to keep the game at 0-0.

In the second half, Ndejje again came out with a dominant performance but no cutting edge with Nfumu continuing to boss the game once again denying Ayup after a lovely through ball from Musinguzi at the hour mark.

With sixteen (16) minutes left to play, Ndejje were awarded a penalty as Ssemakula Frank is brought down in the area only for Nfumu to save Ebasu’s penalty who came back to strike the rebound in 80th minute.

Two minutes later, after Ndejje’s celebrations Kisuule Jackson was shown Red for protesting the referee’s decision on the goal.

When both sides looked like they had accepted the result, seven minutes were added into the game serving visitors with a chance to level matters in 95th minute when  Nangoli Kevin took on the free kick only to hit the crossbar for Ndejje University to survive.

This victory takes Ndejje top of Group B with 7 points from Four (4) games and Victoria stay bottom with a point.

On Wednesday 16th October, YMCA in Group C encounter will host St Lawrence University in Buwambo at 3pm.
