StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have announced the acquisition of Congolese defensive midfielder Olivier Osomba.

The 24- year old joins Vipers from Burundi’s Aigle Noir Makamba on a three-year employment contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.

He scored five goals and made seven assists last season at the Burundian club.

“I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Vipers SC. It’s a massive club and l promise to give my best,” Osomba told Vipers Media in his first interview.

“It’s a pleasure to be here in Uganda and I’m very happy to be a part of this great club. And l thank the club for giving me this opportunity.”

Osomba becomes Vipers’ third official signing this transfer window after Isa Mubiru and Joseph Youngman were snapped up from UPDF FC and Bright Stars respectively last week.

Vipers are preparing to represent Uganda at the CAF Champions League this upcoming season.
