Nile Special inject One Billion into Pool

Nile Breweries Uganda limited under their brand Nile Special unveiled a mega sponsorship to Pool Association of Uganda has on Thursday, 13th June.

In an event at their offices in Luzira, Nile Special signed a partnership worth One billion Uganda shillings will see the two in a contract marriage of two-years.

Nile Breweries will take care of twins in the prestigious National Open Championship and the National League for both men and Women. 

This is the third time Nile Breweries has partnered with PAU with the first being 2018 when they injected 400 million in the National Open.

Second time, they returned in 2023 and sponsored National Open Championship with 300 million.

“Nile Special recognizes the immese potential of Ugandan Pool plus exceptional talent of its players so we are confident that this investment will not only elevate the national open and national league but will also empower both players and clubs.” 

The mega deal will see winners of the National Open Championship that is commencing in July, both Women and Men Champions will drive away in a brand new car with a cash prize of Five million Shillings for the Men and Three for women.

Bob Trubish, the PAU chairman, revealed that the support from Nile Special is a great achievement for Pool in Uganda;

“This partnership with Nile Special is a great achievement for Ugandan Pool” Trubish said. 

”The financial support along with innovative initiatives like Club facilitation and live streaming will create a more vibrant and competitive environment for our players. He concluded . 

The Men’s League will cue off on 11th July while that of the Women will start ten (10) days later on 21st before cilmaxing the first round on 29th September. 

Along the way National Open Championship will start in July and hold its grand finale on 16th November, 2024. 

Second round will resume on 21st and 23rd November for Men and Women respectively, the climax is on 19th and 18th January 2025 respectively

For the awarding ceremony, it will be held on 31st January.
