Netball Pent Series: She Cranes sweep away Zambia in their opener

The Uganda Women’s Netball team, The She cranes kick-started their journey in the netball Pent Series with a comfortable victory against Zambia on match day one.

Uganda defeated Zambia with a 76-22 score line at the Patrick Iyambo Police college Olympia in Windhoeck to go top of the table after emerging as the highest scorers of the day in the Pent series.

This was Fred Mugerwa’s first game in charge since returning to the National Senior team as Head Coach.

His main aim is to see that She cranes finish as overall winners in the Pent series which will run for five consecutive days till the November 5th in Windhoeck, Namibia.

The hosts Namibia also defeatedKenya by 25-0 while Malawi emerged winners against Zimbabwe after registering a 56-38 victory.

The she cranes will return in action on game-day two as they will be facing Malawi.

The hosts, Namibia will be up against Zambia while Kenya will take on Zimbabwe.

All games will be played at the Patrick Lyambo Police College Olympia in Windhoeck Namibia.

The series are aimed at preparing  African countries for the Netball World Cup qualifiers.
