Nehema Tito: Ugandan forward signs for Swedish club


Ugandan forward Tito Nehema has penned down a two-year deal with Swedish third division side Strömsbergs IF.

The development was confirmed on Wednesday evening, moments after the player signed his first professional contract at the 1912 founded club in Uppsala County.

“I really feel happy to join a such great club and i can’t wait to get started. My ambition is to help the team win the league and also improve myself and hopefully i can get closer to featuring in the Uganda national U20 team,” he said,  expressing his excitement after joining the division 3 club.

Tito Nehema recently helped the FC Arninge side win the Latin American Cup, defeating Bolivia FC 4-1 in the finals.

He joins a Fleet of Ugandan players in Sweden that include Ronald Mukiibi and Isaak Ssewankambo (Ostersunds), Alexis Bbaka (Omea), Mukisa Kenneth Mbayo (Team TG), Ritah Kivumbi ( Mallbackens IF), Viola Nambi (Vaxjo) and Patrick Mulyanti (IFK Åmål).

Strömsbergs sits on top of the Division 3 Södra Norrland with 18 points garnered in 7 games.

Tito is expected to feature this weekend as his new team, Strömsbergs takes on IFK Mora FK on Saturday in Mora.
