Nam Blazers have continued their fine run of form, tipping off the second half of the season with an 81–71 victory over JT Jaguars on Friday at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.
The Jaguars started strong, taking a 19–15 lead in the first quarter, but the Blazers bounced back to win all three remaining quarters.
Four Blazers players scored in double figures: Tony Drileba (14), Innocent Ocera (20), Micheal Makiadi (12), and James Okello (12). For the Jaguars, Aaron John Eboyu posted a game-high 22 points, while Ian Lubwama followed closely with an impressive 20.
In the women’s game earlier, defending champions JKL Lady Dolphins defeated KCCA Leopards 86–74.
KCCA’s Susan Rebecca Aanyu led all scorers with 22 points, supported by Perus Nyamwenge with 15. On the JKL side, Agatha Kamwada (17), Hope Akello (15), Shadia Nassanga (21), and Evelyn Nakiyinji (14) all hit double digits to seal the win.
