KCCA FC will be up against Maroons FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League as they target to return to winning ways having gone five games in the league without tasting victory.

It has been a tough start to the year as for the Kasasiro boys whose dreams of winning the UPL title this season perished away.

Currently, they sit in the 8th position on the log with 24 points from the 17 games played thus trailing with a 16points gap below leaders Vipers SC who sit top on 40 points.

Abdallah Mubiru has urged his side to start winning as they visit Maroons who sit just a place below KCCA FC with just a one point difference in the 9th position.

“As a team we are still struggling with our performance and form, we have gone some matches without winning so it is a very big concern to us and we automatically want to address it and the chance we have got is to win against Maroons,

The players are and determined so that we now start winning but we can not compare the Uganda Cup game we won with league games, the levels differ and we have worked towards our mentality in the league.” He added.

Maroons have been a stubborn side against KCCA FC for over the years but the head coach is eager to put that to an end as they face off at the prisons playgrounds in Luzira.

KCCA FC is delighted to welcome back Peter Magambo and winger Gabriel to the squad but they will miss the services of Etienne Katenga, Steven Munguchi and defender Muhamud who are not available for selection due to injuries.

Other fixtures on Sunday March 2, will see UPDF host SC Villa in Bombo as Vipers host Mbarara City in Kitende.
