Motorsport: Shell Advance lubricates National Motorcross Championship

Vivo Energy Uganda, a company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants to retail and commercial customers in Uganda, under the Shell Advance lubricants brand has announced a sponsorship partnership with the Federation of Motorsport Club of Uganda to sponsor the Uganda Motorcross championship.

The one-year partnership is worthy Shs.100m Uganda Shillings and it will cover all the remaining Motorcross events of the season inform of cash, Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil, Crowd Control tapes ( For Safety), Media Coverage and riders awards.

This was made official on Saturday afternoon at the launch of the fifth round of the Mountain Dew National Motorcross championship held at Shell Rubaga, Kampala.

Vivo Energy Uganda Brand Manager of Lubricants Herbert Egesa said this partnership with Motorcross is a continuation of their continued support towards Ugandan Motorsport over the years.

” This is a continuation of our successful partnership with Motorsport over the years”

“The aim for this partnership is firstly to promote our products on the market like Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil, Shell Rimula and V-Power plus we want to also grow more talent in Uganda”

The fifth round of the National Motorcross championship will take place on Sunday, 3rd July 2022 in Garuga at Victoria Race way track.

This event will double up as the selection of Motorcross Cranes team that will represent Uganda at the FIM Africa Motorcross championship in August.

By sponsoring National Motorcross Championship, Shell under Vivo energy has advanced its loyalty to Motorsport as they are the sponsors of the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Rally.

They also sponsor two rally crews of Arthur Blick Jr and Ronald Sebuguzi.
