Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has released a list of 35 players to start preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship in Algeria.

The tournament which features only players currently playing in Country’s domestic leagues will take place in Algiers next year between 13th January and 4th February.

The summoned squad which includes five goalkeepers, 12 defenders, 6 midfielders and 12 attackers will enter into a residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi on Wednesday in order to start preparations.

“We have maintained the core of the team that played the Qualifier matches against Tanzania. We have had the first round of the league running and this helps to put the players in good shape,” Micho said after naming the provisional squad.

Uganda is pitted in group B alongside DR Congo, Ivory Coast and Senegal and will be hoping to make it out of the group stage for the first time in it’s history – having failed on the previous five time.
