Four days after the departure of Morley Byekwaso, KCCA FC has confirmed the appointment of Jackson Mayanja popularly known as Mia Mia as its Head Coach.

Mia Mia will lead the Lugogo based side on an interim basis until the end of June 2023. 

Just like his predecessor, Mayanja also takes on the KCCA FC job, fresh from the Africa Cup Of Nations U-20 team that played their tournament in Egypt. Morley had led the U-20s to the finals of the same tournament in 2020.

At Club level, Mayanja has coached at URA FC, Bunamwaya SC, KCCA FC, Kagera FC, Simba SC, Kyetume FC and previously at AS Kigali as Assistant to Mike Mutebi.

Away from head coach role, the club also confirmed the departure Badru Kaddu (Assistant Manager), Richard Malinga (Assistant Coach/Junior Team Coach) and Yahaya Walugembe the Club Scout. 

Jackson Mayanja will have a new team around him which will include;

Charles Ssenyange – Assistant Coach

Saka Mpiima – First Team Coach / Junior Team Head Coach

Moses Oloya – Goalkeeper Coach

Felix Ayobo –  Fitness and Conditioning Coach 

Ivan Ssewanyana – Team Doctor

Emmanuel Tusubira – Team Physiotherapist

Betty NANTALE – Kits Manager

Bashir KAWOOYA  – Assistant Kits Manager
