Lawrence Tezikya: Vipers’ move will improve me as a player

New Vipers SC forward Lawrence Tezikya is confident his move to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers SC will improve him as a player.

The youngster was officially unveiled as a new Venom on Saturday morning, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract after receiving a transfer clearance from his former paymasters Busoga United FC.

“I made the best decision to join this great club, the environment is conducive and also, will get good competition which will improve me as a player,” he told the Vipers website.

“Its been weeks of patience and I have had enough time to settle in both mentally and physically now that the final process has been completed, l can’t wait to play for my team,” he added.

Tezikya becomes Vipers latest addition in these transfers after Yunus Sentamu, who was recently unveiled recently.

Tezikya made his league debut in 2019 when Busoga United drew goalless with Maroons FC at the Mighty Arena, Jinja and he went on to find the back of net five times in 8 games the following season.

He was also the topsçorer of the 2018 and 2019 Airtel Copa Coca-Cola school competition and helped Jinja SS to claim the 2017 School’s title in Masaka.
