David Kongor Deng scored 20 points as UCU Canons cruised past Betway Power 66-62 at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.
David further produced 9 rebounds in less than 28 minutes to help his side level the series to 1-1.
Syrus Kiviri and Issac Afidra made 30 points combined for the Betway side but still fell only 4 points short.
In the ladies semi-finals, Stellah Oyella recorded yet again another double-double as JKL went past KIU Rangers 51-41.
Stellah Oyella finished the game with 11 points and 13 rebounds to wrap up a tremendous performance for She Cranes international.
Stellah has now recorded 2 double-doubles in 2 playoff games and is on the route of becoming the first lady in Uganda to make 3 consecutive double-doubles in any playoff series.
Ritah Imanishimwe added a further 12 points for JKL Lady Dolphins to deny any comeback chance.
Rachel Akinyi and Ines Kanyamuza combined for 31 points for the university side.
JKL now lead the 5 game semifinals series with 2-0 and will hope to complete the sweep when the two sides meet again in game 3.
