Entebbe UPPC will welcome back last season’s top scorer, Ambrose Kigozi as they seek another win against UPDF at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Tuesday.

The Printers made a strong start to the Uganda Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over champions Vipers at Kitende. Kigozi’s return gives coach Abdallah Mubiru another attacking option as UPPC look to build on that result.

Midfielder Isa Bugembe, who was named in last season’s UPL Team of the Season, and winger Swadik Moro are also available.

However, new signings Grant Matsiko and Anwar Ntege, captain Ahmed Amayo and long-term absentee Samuel Kawawa remain unavailable.

Mubiru knows the Vipers victory is now history and wants his players focused on the next challenge.

“We started well with a win against Vipers. That is now behind us and focus is on the next opponent,” Mubiru said.

“Three points is the target in every game because that is what each game carries.”

UPDF will provide a different test. Coach Hussein Mbalangu wants Nakivubo to become a fortress, although his side were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted Kataka in their opening game.

UPPC will also look to new signings Reich Kokolo, Ibrahim Mugulusi and Sharif Ssengendo, while UPDF will rely on Musa Matovu, veteran Hussein Zzinda and Aggrey Kirya.

UPPC have the better record in their eight previous league meetings, winning three, drawing three and losing two.
