Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club ( KCCA FC) have announced the appointment of Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil as their new manager.
The Portuguese tactician joins the Kasasiro Boys on an initial two-year deal, and replaces Jackson Mayanja, who served as an interim manager of the club until the end of last season.
Traguil is a UEFA A licensed manager, who is currently pursuing a UEFA Pro License.
He joins KCCA with a wealth of experience in Africa and having previously coached at Hearts of Oak ( Ghana), Singida Big Stars ( Tanzania), CD Lunda Sul ( Angola), Santa Rita CFC ( Angola) and Township Rollers FC ( Botswana).
According to KCCA, Traguil will start his role at the club on 1st July 2023.
KCCA finished last season second on the log with 53 points in 28 games. Their last league title came in 2019 under Mike Mutebi, with Byekwaso as his assistant.
