Kabonge endures bad start, Kiboga wins again

Katwe United’s newly appointed head Coach Allan Kabonge has endured a tough start to his tenure as his side fell to Bukedea Town Council FC in the FUFA Big League.

Simon Opio scored an early goal the 5th minute before Innocent Maduka doubled the lead for Bukedea TC FC before halftime. Katwe United Attacker Alex Katumba pulled a goal back for the Kampala side on the 68th-minute mark but the “TuliBanyiivu” side could not manage to force a comeback.

In Arua, Kiboga Young came from a goal behind to defeat Doves All Stars FC 2-1 at the Greenlight Stadium. Yakin put Doves All-Stars ahead just minutes before halftime but Kiboga Young returned a stronger side for the second half scoring 2 goals in space of 3 minutes courtesy of Luuka and Olega strikes to turnaround the event and take an immediate lead of the game. Olega and Luuka have now scored in 2 consecutive games.

Elsewhere, in Mbarara, Nyamityobora FC got back to winning ways courtesy of Ndera Micheal’s first half strike.

In Hoima, Sula Tumusime’s second half strike gifted the University side with 3-points against Dove FC

In Luzira, Kasai Plascon came from a goal down to force a hard-fought 1-all draw against Kitara FC

Light SS and Kataka FC played out to a barren draw at Amuria High School Playground.

Kitara FC leads the Rwenzori group with 8 points collected in 4 games while Kiboga Young is now top of the Elgon Group with 7 points in 4 games
