Jinja Secondary School were crowned the 2026 SkyView Boys Schools Cricket Week champions after producing an eight-wicket victory over Shree Sahajanand Uganda in the final at Nyakasura School ground.
Jinja completed their title-winning campaign with a clinical performance, chasing down Shree’s 130 with 28 balls to spare.
The triumph earned Jinja SS their sixth Cricket Week championship and capped a remarkable recovery after they opened the tournament with a defeat against Soroti Secondary School.

Shree Sahajanand Uganda, who had remained unbeaten throughout the competition, won the toss and chose to bat first.
Their decision initially appeared promising as captain Het Pindoria and Devansh Patel steadied the innings with a 64-run partnership for the second wicket.
Pindoria made 33, while Patel top-scored with 39, but Shree struggled to maintain momentum once the partnership was broken.
Jinja’s pace attack kept the pressure on, while outstanding fielding contributed significantly to the collapse.
Juma Ssenyondo was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 18 runs from his four overs. Jinja’s fielders were equally influential, completing five run-outs as Shree were dismissed for 130 in 20 overs.
The champions wasted little time in the chase as Hariom Dudharejiaya anchored the innings with an unbeaten 50, while Michu Faizo added 22 before being run out.

Ssenyondo then provided the finishing push with an aggressive 48, ensuring Jinja remained comfortably ahead of the required rate.
Jinja reached 131 for two in only 15.2 overs to seal an emphatic eight-wicket win and end Shree’s unbeaten run at the final hurdle.
The result highlighted Jinja’s ability to recover from an early setback and peak at the most important stage of the tournament, while Shree were left to reflect on an otherwise impressive campaign.
Hosts Nyakasura School also finished their home tournament on a positive note, beating Gulu High School by six wickets in the final placement match.
