Isaac Ogwang, the highly-rated forward, has completed a significant transfer from Police FC to six-time Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers SC.

The 27-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract with Vipers, which will keep him at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, until January 2027, with an option for extension.

Ogwang’s move marks Vipers’ second signing in the January transfer window, following midfielder Marvin Joseph Youngman’s return from Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

The forward has been one of the standout performers in the league this season, scoring six goals in 13 matches for Police FC.

His goal-scoring contributions have helped propel Police FC to 10th place in the table, with 18 points from the first round.

Ogwang’s impressive form also earned him a call-up to the national team for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, where he scored against Burundi.

Ogwang’s move to Vipers adds considerable firepower to their attacking options as they aim for the league title.

The experienced striker, who was pivotal in Police FC’s promotion last season with 12 goals, will compete for a starting role alongside Vipers’ established forwards like Mohamed Salem, Yunus Sentamu, and Gusto Mulongo.

His goal-scoring ability is expected to play a crucial role in Vipers’ title ambitions for the second half of the season.
