Isa Mubiru: leftback becomes Vipers first signing

Vipers SC have completed the signing of defender Isa Mubiru from UPDF FC.

The leftback joins the Venoms on a three-year deal until 2025 and becomes the club’s first addition this window.

“Moving to Vipers SC is a big and important step in my life.” Mubiru said before adding;

“I am delighted to be joining Vipers SC at this very exciting time for the club. I’m looking forward to being a part of this experienced, dynamic squad as we challenge for honours next season.”

Mubiru started his football journey at MS Soccer Academy, Namasuba. He played football for the all the school teams at primary and secondary level where he impressed immensely.

He was recruited for the Soana Junior team in the FUFA Juniors League from there he was promoted to the Soana Senior team in the Uganda Premier League.

When the club rebranded to Tooro United Football, Mubiru remained part of the club and when it was relegated to the second tier (FUFA Big League), he switched allegiance to Uganda Peoples Defences Forces (UPDF) Football Club’s.

The 25-year old is expected to rival Disan Galiwango for a starting spot in the Vipers SC team.

Vipers will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League next season. They achieved this feat by winning the StarTimes Uganda Premier League last season.
