Imperious Caterpillars record their biggest top-flight victory

Malish and Malingumu netted hat-tricks as Onduparaka registered the biggest win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League – 7-1 against the slaughterers of Kyetume FC.

It was all square by halftime when Julius Malingumu’s goal that gave the hosts the lead in the 30th minute was levelled by Deo Isejja in the 43rd minute.

The caterpillars made two early substitutions with Ceaser Okhuti and Gadaffi Wahab being withdrawn for Jamal Malish and Jangeyambe in the 35th minute.

The Hosts ran riot against the visitors in the second stanza of the game scoring six goals. Newly introduced Jamal Malish scored his first goal immediately at the start of the second half before he doubled his score with a header from vitalis Tabu’s first touch in the 60th minute.

Malingumu scored his second of the day to make it 4-1 for the caterpillars in the 67th minute before Jamal Malish notched his first ever top flight hat-trick in the 73rd minute to make it 5-1 for the home team.

Vitalis Tabu rifled in Onduparaka’s sixth from a spot kick in the 79th minute before Julius Malingumu registered his hat-trick in the 81st minute  to demolish the slaughtered.

A 7-1 becomes the second highest scoring in the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season after already having witnessed a startling 5-3 between Express FC and Police FC at Wankulukuku.

The result takes Onduparaka FC to third place with 23 points while Kyetume FC drops to 8th at 16 points.

Onduparaka FC visit Mbarara City FC at Kakyeka in their next game while Kyetume FC will play host to Wakiso Giants FC.
