KCCA FC will play against Police FC at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo in match day 12 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League.
Despite KCCA FC missing out on their crucial players who were summoned for the Cranes Namutima duty including John Revita, Mustapha Kizza, Nicholas Kasozi, Muzamiru Mutyaba, and Captain Charles Lukwago.
Allan Okello misses out on the Cranes Namutima tour after suffering a knock during training while Samuel Kato missed out on on the trip for unknown reasons.
The defending Champions requested the UPL secretariat that they play their game against Police FC be played on the 9th of October 2019, forcing the fixture that that had earlier been rescheduled to be reinstated despite the Mike Mutebi’s side missing a number of players on national team duty.
While speaking to the press, Mike Hillary Mutebi said their concentration now switches to the League.
We are out of the CAF competitions and all our focus is on the league now so that we can go back to the content as it’s our culture.
He added that
The players we are missing are first teamers, it doesn’t mean that the players who remained can’t play. They will play very well and they are going to compete very well.
Police FC are not going to be with their head Coach Abudallah Mubiru who also travelled with the Cranes Namutima team as an Assistant.
Police FC are second last on the table with only 7 points from 11 games so far played. They have lost their last two(2) fixtures that was against Maroons and URA respectively
KCCA FC are now 11th on the table with only 7 games played out of the 12 games so far played in the league. They are 17 points behind table table leaders Vipers SC.
The defending Champions have won all their last two fixtures played in the league, against Onduparaka FC and Maroons FC.
