After scoring 36 goals in 34 matches for Masindi based side Lady Doves, former Biik Kazygurt FC forward Fazila Ikwaput left for Cyprus at the start of this month (August).

The Crested Cranes and Lady Doves goal poacher has eventually joined Cyprus Women Super League side Omonia Women FC with the official unveiling to be conducted sooner.

Ikwaput penned down a message full of gratitude on her official twitter handle before she left as shown below;

Last season, Ikwaput scored fifteen(15) league goals just like UCU Lady Cardinals’ Hasifa Nassuna on the top scorer’s log, all together in the previous campaign, the goal poacher neted 23 goals in all competitions

After her impressive run at the CECAFA Senior Women’s championship in Njeru, Jinja and WAFCON in Morocco, Simba Queens of Tanzania were the front runners as they tried to capture her signature but failed.

Ikwaput join fellow strike partner Spencer Nakachwa who left the Masindi based entity for reigning league champions She Corporate earlier this month.
