- KOBs 22-27 Jinja Hippos
Jinja Hippos stunned 13 time champions KOBs in their own parkyard at Legends with a 22-27 return leg defeat today to book a spot in this year’s Uganda Rugby Premiership finals.
The guests started off with a 10 points lead until Ian Munyani’s converted try awakened KOBs who looked like they would pull off their come back heroics again, like it was the case in the quarters against Buffaloes.
The game was leveled 22-22 but Aziz Bagalana’s converted try proved vital to seal the win and advance with a two points advantage on average, havening lost 25-22 at Dam waters last Saturday.
In the finals, Hippos will face the winner between record champions Heathens and regular season table league leaders Pirates who play on Saturday at the Kings Park Arena .
