Hillary Mukundane: former Mbarara City Skipper joins Vipers SC

Former Mbarara City skipper Hillary Mukundane has completed his move to StarTimes Uganda Premier League giants Vipers SC, TheTouchline Sports sources have learnt.

After a week-long engagement with the Vipers officials, the defender has finally put pen to paper on an initial three-year employment contract.

Mukundane confirmed that he had left the Ankole Lions on Sunday evening via his social media page after the expiration of his contract.

Mukundane started club football at Kamoma FC in the Western Regional League in 2015, before crossing to Ntoda FC in 2016.

He joined Mbarara City for the 2016/17 season in the FUFA Big League, a side he helped gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League after knocking out Synergy FC 2-1 in the playoff final at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.

He has been with the club since then and has been one of the long serving players and integral figure in the Ankole Lions squad.

At Vipers, he is set to compete with Halid Lwaliwa, Bashir Asiku and Livingstone Mulonfo for a starting spot at the center of the venom’s defense.

The Venoms have also resigned Frank Tumwesigye Zaga from Police FC.

Vipers currently sit second on the UPL log with 30 points in 14 games.
