Futsal Super league: Travis Mutyaba’s haul powers Synergy to the semis, Aidenal hand Big Talent their first loss

The 2021 Futsal Super league returned on Saturday morning at the Old Kampala Sports Arena with the Match day five fixtures  with four games.  Travis Mutyaba netted a haul to confirm Synergy’s place in this year’s playoffs while Aidenal handed Big Talent Soccer Academy their first loss this season .

Here is a wrap of all the Match day five action;

In the first game of the day, Uganda cubs starlet Travis Mutyaba netted a haul as Synergy defeated Park FC 4-2 to secure their berth in the semi-finals of this year’s tournament in their debut season.

Travis broke the deadlock in the earlier exchanges of the game before Abas Junior levelled matters moments later but the Uganda Cubs starlet restored Synergy’s parity just before halftime.

At the start of the second half, Travis extended Synergy’s advantage to two goals before Iddi Babu pulled a goal back for Park. Before the game could end, Travis completed his haul with an exquisite finish after being set up by Yasin Sabir

The win today was Synergy’s 4th in their debut season out of five games and still unbeaten coming to the final match day next weekend.

Synergy now has 13 points, six adrift of second placed Kisenyi who edged Yeak Kabowa 3-0 in the day’s second game.

Nsereko Brian and Ibrahim Fabri were on target for Kisenyi while the other one was an own goal by Mugenyi Abdul Swabur.

In the third game, Mengo held on to defeat Kampala Junior Team 4-3 in a tense game in the Albert Nile group.

Mayanja Saudi netted a brace while Mwebaza Lamech and Kafumbe Masundi added a goal each for Mengo while Billy Nkata netted all three for KJT.

in the last game of the day, Aidenal SOSA handed Big Talent their first defeat this season after a 6-3 victory.

Kavuma Marvin netted a haul while Kalanzi Dennis was on target twice to secure all important three points. Farouk Tumwesigye had a brace for Big Talent.

Aidenal and Big Talent are now separated by only two points heading to the last group game next week. Big Talent are second on 8 points while Aidenal are third on 6 points.
