The Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) has confirmed that they will take care of all expenses to cater for Isma Mugulusi operation.
The young attacking midfielder has been out for a while after he tore his lateral meniscus anterior horn.
“FUFA has confirmed that they will foot the travel costs and medical bills of Isma Mugulusi who is set to undergo an operation on his knee in Europe.” FUFA said in a statement released on Tuesday morning
“The latest development means that the initial fundraising plans are no more.”
His agent Eugene Sepuya had recently started a fundraising for the player to undergo an operation at Athens Medical and Healing Center in Greece.
The operation will need around She25m.
Mugulusi featured for Uganda Hippos team that took part and reached the final of the AFCON U20 early this year.
He made a transfer from SC Villa to Busoga United this season.
