FUFA: federation announces long-term partnership with Umbro

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations ( FUFA) has announced a long-term partnership with English based sportswear and equipment company, Umbro.

The partnership which was announced on Tuesday morning will see Umbro become the FUFA’s official Technical Sponsor for the next four years, taking over from Mafro.

The sportswear company will supply high-performance match kits, training and off-field apparel to both Uganda’s men and women National teams.

In 2017, Italian based sports company Errea entered into a small partnership with FUFA and supplied the Cranes with Match kits ahead of the 2017 Total Africa Cup of Nations. Uganda’s teams used kits with a Errea logo, there was no formal agreement between the top parties.

In 2018 after ending their connection with Errea, FUFA contracted Mafro as just the manufacturers of the national team jerseys. Though they were still in negotiations leading to the same, Mafro were never the official kit sponsors.
