NEC FC went top of the FUFA big league table following yesterday’s 1-0 win against Calvary FC at Bugolobi coffee grounds in Kampala.
The only goal for the game came in the last minute from a penalty spot that was scored by the Club’s captain Marvin Kavuma.
The 90th minute penalty followed a controversial penalty that was awarded by the assistant referee after center referee Henry Byaruhanga had pointed to a goal kick.
This win took the Bugolobi based team to them top of the table with 33 points over taking Kitara FC who drew goalless with bottom side Northern Gateway in Lira city.
This win meant a double header loss of Calvary FC to NEC FC this season in the FUFA big league.
