Rines SS Women Football Club shocked visitors Makerere University with 3-1 result in the Finance Trust Women Super League at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Sunday.
Phionah Arach, Patricia Nakato and Jasmine Nalukwago netted the hosts goals and Zaina Namuleme came up with the visitors consolation.
With all teams scoring in the opening half, it meant action was at its best with first goal coming in from Captain Patricia Nakato just Five (5) minutes into the game.
Makerere’s Namuleme equalized 14 minutes later before Arach doubled the hosts lead six (6) minutes to the half hour mark.
Skillful forward Nalukwago sealed the win with seven minutes to close the opening half to go for a break at 3-1.
However the second half was a barren one as both teams didn’t score.
Another game that was played on Sunday saw a Four (4) goal thriller with Amus College and Uganda Martyrs sharing the spoils in 2-2 draw.
Latifah Nakasi netted a brace for Uganda Martyrs while Esther Namataka and Shayline Opisa scored for the hosts.

On Saturday, all the games ended in a draw apart from that one between Lady Doves and Kampala Queens in Masindi.
The Queens managed to edge hosts Lady Doves with an early goal in the 2nd minute thanks to Captain Shamirah Nalugya.
