A Quartet of Crested Cranes foreign based players were welcomed into the camp on Tuesday at the Kampala Quality School Playground, Kisasi
These players include Fauzia Najjemba, Vanessa Edith Karungi, Tracy Jones Akiror and Yudaya Nakayenze. They all joined the Crested Cranes on tuesday as the team continued to prepare for the AWCON.

They now join up with the other part of the squad that won the 2022 CECAFA Women’s Senior Championship and some of the names that were left out of CECAFA final squad however much some other six players were chopped off the squad.
The six players that were chopped off are Viola Namuddu, Harima Kanyago, Miriam Ibunyu, Naome Nagadya, Resty Nanziri and Juliet Adeke.
Two more foreign based players in Viola Nambi and Rita Kivumbi as named on the provisional list will also be expected to jet into the country in the coming days.
The Crested Cranes who just clitchéd their maiden CECAFA Trophy are preparing for the 2022 AWCON tournament that will take place in Morocco.
They were pitted in Group A with hosts Morocco, Burkina Faso and Senegal. Uganda’s fixtures will be played on as shown below.
