Finance Trust Women Super League: Uganda Martyrs seek first campaign win while Kampala Queens travel to Makerere

Uganda Martyrs who have lost their two opening games for the first time in history will host fellow wounded side Tooro Queens after loss to Makerere 0-1 at home.

The game will be played at Uganda Martyrs new host ground Bugolobi coffee grounds, former home to Uganda Premier League side, NEC FC where they lost their first game to She Corporate 0-1.

This will be a stage set once again for Edward Ssozi’s charges to renew themselves with hope that opponents Tooro Queens are not up to the task on the day.

In their last three meetings, Uganda Martyrs have won all and will hope to bring a similar result as Tooro will look to change it all basing on the fact that they drew their last away game with Lady Doves on match day one

In the other game of the day, Kampala Queens is set to open up the weekend action of match day three action in the 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League this weekend on Saturday 12th October 2024 with a trip to Makerere University.

The Mutundwe side that hosts it’s games in Lugogo will this time play their second consecutive away game against Makerere University Women Football Club at 10AM.

With both teams fresh from three crucial away points to take their tally to four points in two games, having drawn their opening matches.

Kampala Queens last two games 

• She Corporate FC 1-0 Kampala Queens FC
• Kampala Queens FC 1-1 Wakiso Hill WFC

Makerere University WFC last two games

• Tooro Queens 0-1 Makerere University WFC
• Makerere University WFC 0-0 She Maroons

The two sides have met five times with Makerere University WFC winning none and drawing last three and losing first two with a goal difference.

With new additions on both sides including former Queens captain Zaina Namuleme crossing over to the other side this is set to be a thrilling encounter with an on form Shamusa Najjuma so far netting once this season but with a couple of good displays.
