Exclusive Interview: Brian Ssenyondo speaks on return to Mbarara City

Today, The Touchline Sports caught up with Brian Ssenyondo, the new coach of Mbarara City who returns for a second stint at the Club after the Ankole Lions parted ways with Paul Nkata.

In an exclusive interview, the former Synergy FC coach was reinstated as the head coach of the Mbarara based side on Interim basis for an undisclosed period of time.

Yes it’s true I’ve returned to Mbarara City FC as Head coach on Interim but I have always had a running contract with Mbarara City FC and I have never been sacked as it’s said.

He said.

I am going to start from where I stopped, am looking forward to motivate and change the moods of my players. I also need to remind them of where they need to be on the Startimes Uganda Premier League Table and If we can win tomorrow, it will be a huge boost to us”

He added.

When asked about his dismissal from the Club, Ssenyondo said;

In football, you never have a permanent job.

Ssenyondo’s first task will be the game against high flying Onduparaka FC tomorrow at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara

In his first stint at Mbarara City, he managed five league games winning only once (3-0 against Proline in their season opener) 2 draws and 2 losses.
