Diaspora: Obita on target, Kyambadde makes impact from the bench and how Ugandan professional abroad fared over the weekend

It was a festive weekend were most of the football Leagues around the world broke off but still a few did take place over the period and some Ugandan professionals were involved.

Jordan Obita was on the scoresheet for Oxford United, while Allan Kyambadde made an impact after coming off the bench – this is how the few Ugandan professional fared over the weekend.

In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi was an unused substitute as Motherwell FC played out to a 1-all draw with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

In England, Ulke Ikpeazu Mubiru was also an unused substitute as Wycombe Wanderers suffered a 2-1 loss to Bristol City in the English Championship

Still in the championship, Jayden Onen was an unused substitute as Reading FC garnered a 2-1 win over  Luton Town.

In the English league two, right back Elvis Bwomono featured full-time as his side , Southend FC secured a 2-0 win over Colchester.

Jordan Obita was on the scoresheet for Oxford United as they claimed a 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon in the English league one. Obita broke the deadlock in the 13th minute.

In Turkey, Farouk Miya never made the matchday squad as Konyaspor claimed a 2-1 win over Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Ligue.

In Israel, Kizito William Luwagga’s Happoel Kfar Saaba suffered a 1-0 loss to H. Kiryat Shmona in the Israeli Premier league.

In Zambia, Mathias Kigonya started in goal as his Forest Rangers side suffered a 2-1 loss to Kabwe Warriors in the MTN/FAZ Super Ligue.

In Egypt, Derrick Nsibambi was an unused substitute as his side, Smouha  SC came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win over Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier league.

Allan Kyambadde came on at halftime as provided an assist for the winner as El Gouna garnered a 1-0 win over Aswan.

Still in the Egyptian Premier League, Khalid Aucho started and featured full-time as his El Makkasa Side played out to a 1-all draw with Al Masry

Abdul Lumala was still out as his side, Pyramid FC secured a narrow 1-0 win over Ceramica Cleopatra.

In Algeria, Allan Okello was an used substitute as his Paradou AC side suffered a late 1-0 loss to ES Sétif  in the Algeria Ligue 1.
