Diaspora: last week to the international break – what we should expect from Ugandan players abroad

It’s the last game week before the International break and we expect some Ugandan players to be in action.

In Turkey, Farouk Miya is expected to make it to the starting lineup once again this weekend as his Konyaspor side battles Fenerbahçe S.K in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday evening.

Having found the back of the net in mid-week against Tulevik, we are hoping Edrisa Lubega will still feature this weekend when Paide Linnameskond takes on JK Narva Trans in their last game of the 2020 Estonian Meistriliiga season.

In Sweden, Both Ronald Mukiibi and Isaak Ssewankambo are expected to feature full-time again as their Ostersunds FK side takes on Häcken in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Ritah Kivumbi is expected to feature from the start this weekend as her Mallbacken IF side takes on Alingsås in the Swedish Elitettan match on Sunday evening.

Viola Nambi’s Vaxjo DFF will also battle it out with Eskilstuna in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

In France, Dereck Kutesa is expected to start on the bench once again this weekend as his Stade de Reims side plays Lens FC in the French Ligue 1.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo is expected to make his comeback from the sidelines this weekend as his side, Odense Boldkub takes on Brøndby in the Danish Super Ligue.

Still in Denmark, Robert Kakeeto will still be out this weekend as AaB Aalborg battles with Randers on Friday evening.

In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi is still out Injured so he will miss Motherwell’s Scottish Premiership game with Celtics FC on Sunday evening.

In England, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru will hope to get enough playing minutes this weekend as his side, Wycombe Wanderers takes on Nottingham Forest in the English Championship.

Elvis Bwomono will be in action as always for Southend FC when they battle Boreham Wood in the FA Cup preliminary round one.

In Portugal, defender Alex Kakuba is expected to be in the match day squad as his CD Cova De Piedade battles Benfica B in the Portuguese LigaPro match tomorrow.

In USA, Mike Azira will be hoping to be granted some playing time this weekend as his Chicago Fires FC takes on New York City FC in Major League Soccer.

In Israel, Fahad Bayo and Timothy Awanyi will be in action this weekend as their Ashdod SC travels to Sammy Ofer Stadium to face Maccabi Haifa in the Israel Premier league.

While also Luwagga Kizito will hope to maintain his place in the starting lineup as Hapoel Kfar Saaba takes on Hapoel Beer Sheva  on Sunday.

In Congo, Joseph Benson Ochaya will hope to slot back into the starting lineup as TP Mazembe plays hosts to Don Bosco in the Congolese Linafoot.
