Corporate Sports Network: Hotel Africana clinch maiden CSN Volleyball Championship


With the same goal of Networking through sports from day one, it was a good June outing at the MUBS play ground on Sunday.

The Corporate Sports Network (CSN) got a great way to attract, connect different individuals, companies who share similar interests and passions.

This Outing saw the climax of both Volleyball and Woodball games.

In Volleyball, Hotel Africana emerged as the maiden winners of Corporate Sports Network Volleyball Championship.

The skillful and disciplined side managed to beat Centenary Bank with intent to prove that teamwork makes the dream work.

In third came, Housing Finance who beat URA who had lost in the other semifinal on the day.

For Woodball, different companies gathered to embrace the sport that wasn’t popular in many but pulled out strong vibes, performances and more urge to learn.

DTB Bank came out on top in both Woodball categories on the day as their close competition came from Hotel Africana.

In the Men Woodball, Tumuhimbise Gyaviira of DTB Bank came out victorious with 43-1 strokes to beat off competition from Hotel Africans’ Okedi Ibrahim who fell short by 1.

And in the Women, Nalubega Joyce of DTB came out on top with 42-1 compared the Hotel Africana duo of Nakabugo Aidah Immy and Noowe Addah.

Into the footballing side, Lubaga Hospital had a very bad day out on the turf losing three, drawing once and winning the other game managed to gain a positive as they witnessed  Nurse Nalubenga Merry showcase her other abilities away from administering medications and treatments.

However with Tropical bank having a decline in their performances, URA ascends to the League summit after the Corporate Sports Network June outing in wait for the July outing.

The next outing is scheduled to take place on Sunday 28th July 2024 at the same venue.
